PLACES TO VISIT

Cascais

 

It is called the "Portuguese Riviera"- Cascais: captivating and glamorous village. 


An excellent choice for a walking tour next to the golden sandy beach with crystalline waters. The boardwalk is traditional - the Portuguese pavement.


Take a deep breath and enjoy as many aristocrats did,  during Second World War because Portugal was neutral. Feel inspired by sights as Ian Fleming felt. Cascais is the village where James Bond books were written, while Fleming was living, here. 


We also have in this village the fortress and the picturesque historic center.


5 minutes from Cascais the Atlantic waves hit the craggy 'Mouth of Hell'. Definitely a place to stop.




Roca Cape


Between Cascais and Sintra we're going to visit the most westerly point of mainland Europe. 

150 metres above the sea - one of the most impressive viewing points of Portugal. This place combines the calm of the sea with the wind of the mountains. It's just beautiful. As a famous Portuguese poet from  16th century said "Here, where the land ends and the sea beggins" 



Sintra


Sintra surprises you with places where Man and Nature have been living in a perfect relation through the ages, preserving the magic of Sintra Hill. 


Climbing the mountain by car we can see stunning green landscape and Pena Palace stands out, right in the middle, with its bold colors and Gothic/Renaissance decorative elements. 


At the top of the hill, the Moorish Castle. There we advise you to take a deep breath and let yourself be inspired by the beauty of the surroundings. 


One of the most romantic places in Portugal. Classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, in 1995. 


What about a short break in the center of this romantic village to taste the traditional Queijada de Sintra? The based cherry liquor, Ginjinha? Or do you the the most charming small street shops?
